East Hants Invest for Growth
The East Hampshire Invest for Growth Initiative is an economic development driven project aimed at generating new modern business floorspace, creating jobs and promoting enterprise.
Purpose of the Initiative
To provide an economic intervention aimed at addressing a market failure through speculative development of business premises to generate new business floorspace and thereby increase capacity for business growth and job creation.
To achieve a balance between employment (supply of modern business premises and job creation) and housing provision and ensure that developments contribute to establishment and maintenance of a sustainable local economy.
To create a local economic development fund aimed at raising finance for re-investment in the local economy. This can be through match funding for investment in business premises, infrastructure improvements, skills programmes and business support initiatives.
